Scheduled Reports (daily email digest)
Scheduled Reports sends a daily email digest containing a selected set of metrics from the workspace. Useful for daily exec inboxes, ops standups, and external stakeholders who shouldn’t log in but want a number every morning.
Open from Settings → Scheduled Reports, or from the Schedule action inside an open Report.
What a scheduled report contains
Section titled “What a scheduled report contains”Each daily email includes:
- Headline metrics chosen at setup — typically the same tiles that appear on the recipient’s preferred Brand Overview view.
- The previous day’s value for each metric, with a comparison to the prior period (yesterday vs day-before, or yesterday vs same-day-last-week, depending on the schedule’s comparison setting).
- A direction indicator (▲ / ▼) and percentage change.
- A direct link to open the same view in Ignyte IQ for the recipients who do have accounts.
The email renders in standard HTML and is readable in any mail client. There are no embedded images that depend on the recipient loading external resources.
Metric types that schedule well
Section titled “Metric types that schedule well”| Type | Suitable for daily digest |
|---|---|
| Counts and currency (orders, revenue, spend) | Yes — direct numbers digest cleanly |
| Rates (refund rate, conversion rate) | Yes — short comparison renders well |
| Ratios (ROAS, AOV) | Yes — single-number tiles |
| Cohort and LTV metrics | Not recommended — these refresh on slower cycles than the daily email |
| Multi-period charts | Not supported — the digest is a tile-style read, not a chart embed |
Set up a scheduled report
Section titled “Set up a scheduled report”- Open Settings → Scheduled Reports, or open a Report and choose Schedule.
- Pick a name (e.g. Daily Exec Digest).
- Add recipients — by email address. Recipients don’t need an Ignyte IQ account.
- Pick the metrics to include. Most workspaces start with 4–8 tiles; more than 12 makes the email hard to scan.
- Pick the comparison (day-over-day or week-over-week).
- Pick the send time. The email goes out once per day at this time in the workspace’s time zone.
- Save. The first send happens on the next scheduled occurrence.
Edit, pause, or delete
Section titled “Edit, pause, or delete”The Scheduled Reports list shows every active schedule for the workspace. Each row exposes:
- Edit — change metrics, recipients, comparison, or send time.
- Pause — temporarily stop sending without losing the configuration. Common during platform outages or holiday freezes.
- Delete — remove the schedule permanently.
Schedules are workspace-scoped — every workspace admin can see and edit every schedule. Members can see schedules but cannot edit, pause, or delete them — only admins manage schedules.
Common questions
Section titled “Common questions”Recipients aren’t getting the email. Confirm the recipient address is correct and check the recipient’s spam folder. Some corporate mail filters block transactional-style emails from unfamiliar senders — add the Ignyte IQ sending domain to the recipient’s allow list.
The numbers in the email don’t match the live dashboard. The email reflects the previous day’s data, calculated at the scheduled send time. The dashboard reflects whatever has synced since. Reconcile by setting the dashboard’s date range to “Yesterday” and matching the comparison.
Can the schedule send weekly instead of daily? Daily is the supported cadence. For weekly summaries, see Build a weekly exec summary report — that workflow uses Reports plus an export, not a scheduled email.
Can multiple schedules go to different recipient lists? Yes. Each schedule has its own recipient list. Most workspaces have one or two — Exec Daily and Ops Daily, for example.
