Appearance settings

Appearance is the workspace-wide settings page that controls how numbers, dates, and labels render across every dashboard. Open it from Settings → Appearance.

The Compact Notation toggle controls whether large numbers display in full or in shortened form:

Toggle stateExample display
Off$1,234,567.89 · 9,182 orders · 48,392 sessions
On$1.23M · 9.2K orders · 48.4K sessions

Compact notation shortens any number above 1,000 using K, M, B suffixes, with one decimal place. The full value is still available in the ℹ️ panel and in CSV exports — only the on-screen tile rendering changes.

Compact Notation is workspace-scoped: switching it on affects every member of the workspace.

  • On when scanning Brand Overview at-a-glance during exec reviews — easier to compare relative magnitudes when tiles fit on one line.
  • Off when reconciling against source platforms — full precision avoids rounding ambiguity.

Switching mid-session is safe. Tiles re-render immediately.

Additional formatting options exposed on the Appearance page (when available):

  • Decimal precision for currency and percentage tiles.
  • Negative-value rendering(123) parentheses vs -123 minus sign.
  • Trend-arrow color scheme — green-up / red-down (default) or the inverse for industries where lower numbers are better.

The exact set varies by workspace plan. Options not listed here are documented inline on the Appearance page.

Compact Notation rounds differ from a CSV export. CSV exports use the unrounded source values; the on-screen display rounds to one decimal. Use the CSV for reconciliation, not for matching a screenshot.

A teammate switched Compact Notation off and now everyone sees full numbers. The setting is workspace-wide. Coordinate the preference with the team rather than expecting per-user toggles — there are no per-user Appearance settings.

Compact Notation applies to currency too? Yes. $1.23M and 1.23M orders both shorten under the same toggle.
