Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- Wrong property is connected — GA4 distinguishes between the property ID (a numeric ID like
123456789) and the measurement ID (a string likeG-XXXXXXXX). Ignyte IQ binds to the property ID; picking by measurement ID in the dropdown can route to a stream-level view instead of the property aggregate. - Sessions don’t match GA4’s UI — GA4’s Realtime and Acquisition reports use different defaults (default channel grouping, default attribution model) than the API. Compare on the Acquisition → Traffic Acquisition report with default settings before treating a gap as a sync issue.
- Revenue is zero or far off — confirm an Ecommerce event is firing on the store (
purchaseevent with avalueparameter). GA4 doesn’t auto-populate revenue from page views alone. - General connection issues — see Datasource won’t connect.
- Other reconciliation differences — see Why numbers don’t match.
